Font idea
Each letter is a unique depiction of a road crack.
Letters “O” inspired by road hatches.
Symbols are based on road markings.
The font features five stylistic sets in both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. Letters are replaced randomly, but you can control those variations by selecting glyphs yourself.
The typeface is dedicated to creators — artists in spirit,
no matter who they are. Even if you think of yourself
as “not creative”, repairing a road can lead to inspiring
others.
Road Works is designed for visual experimentation,
so feel free to use it for typesetting text, crafting graphics, creating encrypted messages, designing logos,
or combining it with other typefaces — whatever your
heart and creativity lead you to.

Road works typeface
Zine is a typeface specimen and also license to use the font.
On the back of each zine is one of ten posters which show
Road Works typeface in use. Each poster is designed by one of 10 designers who joined the project and created their own unique vision of font capacity.
Zine is designed as a red & white crosswalk, which you can physically or metaphorically cross over and start experimenting.
Zine size: 160x300 mm (unfolded 600x800 mm)
