The flag was created as a lot for the fundraiser for Hospitallers Medical Battalion. And the girl who won this flag sent it to her husband in the front fields. So Volya ended up in the main place where we fight for it. I even created a smaller version so her husband could take the flag when he performs combat missions.

volia flag

When you look at the flag, you are a free bird flying over the territory of a free country, you see steppes, mountains, rivers, you can rise high and high, or descend low and low, and fly so fast that the image will become unclear, or spread your wings and, catching the air currents, slowly contemplate some particle. This flag is your flight and the flight of your imagination, which will last as long as you want.

The flag was created to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day. Volya is longing for freedom and the deliberate choice to be free. On the flag, this word is intersected with different shapes and textures taken in different scales from Urainian landscapes to create this notion of free and independent land we are all fighting for. So as a viewer, you can imagine yourself flying and decoding all the graphic elements in your own way.

Size: 1000x1420 mm.
