It is a manifestаtion and my permission to implement ideas and create projects that are important for me with my experiments, thoughts, and statements. Not being afraid of criticism and not apologizing, doing something that may not have a practical purpose is what I allow myself in this and further projects. Some go to therapy for this, some have more confidence, and I make
a project to allow myself to make projects. This is my step towards calling myself an artist and being one. After all, as the participants of Metahaven aptly noted: "The designer answers the questions of the client and the market, the artist can afford
to answer only their own questions." Can Project is a set of accessories made of metal cans and their openers. I decided to create them because for me, an accessory is the final note to the total look, which can be just beautiful, sometimes remain invisible, and sometimes loudly show that you are ready for the attention of your surroundings and the world. The word "can" led me to the idea of the name of the project.
It is both about the material and about "I can". Metal is a symbol of armor and readiness for action. The recycling approach resonates with the reuse of accumulated experiences during my design practice. With this project, I want to overcome the habit of "not standing out", which dates back to childhood, to get out of the shadow
of my modesty and internal blocks, to start supplementing my creative personality with projects – to say "hear I’m".
idea

A set of accessories as a manifestation
of an unapologetic approach to design practice.

My interpretation of the unapologetic approach is in the unconditional act of creation, without postponing for later, without request from the outside, without waiting for approval, without fear of trying something for the first time, being an amateur, giving yourself the right to make a mistake. It is about experiments with material, tool, form, and prioritization of myself as an artist, without fear of criticism and comments.
